Great Shoe – Poor Soles
A great looking classic shoe. I’ve had 3 pairs. In the last two years.
The rubber inset in the sole wears like crazy, and then you get a major soft spot right in the center of the footbed. I’m sure it has it’s value over leather on slippery surfaces, but it’s a pretty steep price to pay for the whole shoe becoming worthless because of the wear.

Still in style…
When I was a kid, I often heard these shoes called “old man comforts” and they’re still pretty hip today. They go great with tan or taupe pants and look really nice with a suit, so I’ll continue to buy them. From Zappos, of course.

A sharp Shoe –
These shoes had a great shine out of the box and a very good look for a work setting. They took only took one wearing to break in and since have become quite comfortable. These are a great pair of shoes.

Not as shiny as could be –
I recently ordered a new pair of the Perfed Tip Florshiem but was a little disappointed with the factory shine. The reason I say this and the reason I ordered the shoe is because I already own a couple of pairs of the Lexington Perfed Tips in black and burgundy and the factory shine, when purchased, was just short of looking like patent leather. I also noted some slight irregularities in the stitching. I will be a little more careful when ordering “unseen’ in the future.

Great Buy –
For those of you that require an EEE, this shoe is for your. The shoe fits like a glove and is very comfortable. I’ve only been it for two weeks and it has broken in nicely. The leather is not top quality, but it looks nice nonetheless. Some shoes that I have ordered from Zappos don’t fit. They pay for return shipping and credit your account promptly. If you don’t like it, you can send it back without a hassle.

I have had these shoes for 5 years now and I could not be happier. They have held up great and are easy to stand in for long periods of time since I am in a choir and usually have to wear a tuxedo. Great buy for the money.

Business/dress classic at a common man’s price –
This was a repeat purchase of this shoe for me, having taken nearly ten years to give up on the other pair. With the exception of SLIGHTLY cutting into my ankle bones (which are very protruded) the shoe is a perfect fit. I am finally in the position that I could “move up” to more expensive shoes, but I see no reason to since this shoe does everything I need it to at a reasonable price point. Zappos was awesome in the ordering process. I had been so used to not having access to EEE sizes that I made my first order a half size too large. I needed the shoes by the weekend, so I just reordered and sent the others back. The new ones came in one day, and the credit came in a very reasonable time frame.

My father purchased this shoe for me. The first few days I wore the shoes I was not sure about the look. I am only 21 & a friend said they were old man shoes. After a few weeks everyone at work were like nice shoes great look. I now noticed another guy in the office has purchased shoes in the same style. Most comfortable and Best fit shoes –
I bought these shoes in August 2001 and have had them since then. I love these shoes so much so that I wear them everyday to go to work, club, parties or other occasions. I am going to get another pair of them in a different color.

This pair of shoes felt good on my feet, were true to the size and really looked good. This is a high quality product and good service from Zappos. I would recommend Zappos to anyone wanting quality shoes. I considered the price to be reasonable and the shoes a good buy.

I have tried the Bostonians in a similar style and quickly came back to the Lexington. This shoe feels much more true to size and is by far much more comfortable. With its perfed tip it also has just the right amount of flair without being overstated which is what I look for in a shoe with timeless style and good looks. It goes with everything from the office to an evening out on the town. This shoe also shines up to a brilliant shine with a good polish. I have not found the skid resistant sole to be at all problematic, as some have mentioned, though I am not as hard on shoes as some. Zappos service is second to none.

This turned out to be a great buy for me because I use the Phase IV Walk Fit insoles in all my shoes. With out that the support and comfort was just so-so. The shoe is certainly one of the most attractive dress shoes ever and the quality of material is excellent.
I’m very glad to have discovered Zappos as their selection and service is unsurpassed. For someone with a narrow foot I plan to be a life long customer.

The shoes are as expected – high quality, flexible, and light. However, they were a full size too big and I need to send them back. Zappos’ guarantee helps a lot. There is one problem I still have – guessing which size to get. That’s one of the problems of ordering over the internet

This shoe was about half a size too big (I discovered this after walking a few blocks) – Zappos came through and had replacement to me within a day (just in time for a big interview). Return policy very well handled.
This shoe looks very good, classy, dressy, and professional. When walking longer distances I start to get some soreness, but generally fairly comfortable for how good it looks.
Careful – I needed heel inserts even going down half a size!

durable shoes –
I like these shoes as the soles and uppers are both durable. They have a simply timeless style and are well built. I try to switch between pairs of shoes so no one pair gets abused and find that although these shoes are a bit more expensive their looks and function last more than twice as long as shoes half their price.

Florsheim Shoe –
Very nice shine, but not as comfortable as I had anticipated. The shoe is very hard to break in. I would not buy this shoe if you are going to be on your feet all day. Also the rubber insert on the sole is very “cheap” like and started to come off as I wore the shoe more. The shoe also seems to be very narrow. I wear a 3E and it felt more like a D width.
